SCATENATO & ALLEVA, P.C. is a law firm based in the City of New York specializing in the representation of institutional lenders and individuals in residential real estate transactions.  The two name partners created the firm in October of 1997 after serving as the New York City Real Estate Group for the law firm of Plunkett & Jaffe, P.C., where they represented The Dime Savings Bank of New York and The Chase Manhattan Bank in hundreds of residential financing transactions.  Both have extensive backgrounds in the field of real estate law and have more than thirty years of combined real estate experience.

 

 

AMY SCATENATO is a graduate of Manhattanville College (1986) and Albany Law School of Union University (1989). She is admitted to the Connecticut Bar (1989) and the New York State Bar (1990) as well as the U.S. District Court, Southern District of New York (1992). Since her admission, her primary area of practice has been real estate, representing both individual clients and major financial lending institutions in residential transactions in two states. She is a member of the Westchester County Bar Association and the New York State Bar Association.

 

JAMES ALLEVA is a graduate of Hamilton College (1978) and Fordham University School of Law (1981) and is admitted to the New York State Bar (1982). He has a substantial background in general practice and commercial law, including many types of residential and commercial real estate transactions. He has represented several nationally known clients in commercial leasing and licensing and is experienced in commercial mortgage refinancing. He now concentrates on representing individual clients in residential transactions as well as representing major institutional lenders in the closing of residential loans. He is a member of the New York State Bar Association
